The CCDC is Launching a New Quarterly Event

Clarksville Conversations: Sundays at the Haskell House is a free speaker series that will happen once a quarter on the same Sunday that the House will be open to the public as a museum. Although the series will will be wide-ranging, its focus will be on topics that link to the history and legacy of early Clarksville, its founders and their descendants, the Community Garden, which is located behind the House, and current issues of interest to Clarksville and its residents.

Our first speaker, Jessica Gilzow with Austin’s Parks and Recreation, will focus on garden pollinators.

Next quarter’s speaker will be State Representative Gina Hinojosa. She will recap what happened during the current legislative session — the good, the bad and the ugly.

The Haskell House is located at 1703 Waterston Avenue in the Clarksville National Register Historic District.
