Half Of the Proceeds From All Tickets Sold to the Unique Play, “Speak No More: Witch,” Will Benefit the Haskell House.
La Fenice, a local theater group that has received numerous awards, including Outstanding Audience Experience, https://www.lafeniceaustin.org, will stage "Speak No More: Witch," at the historic Haskell House, 1705 Waterston Avenue. "Speak No More: Witch" will be an entirely improvised, site-specific, immersive theater experience.
The production will take place indoor and out, rain or shine, every Friday and Saturday in October and the first Friday and Saturday in November. Performances will run from 8PM to 10PM. Tickets are $30/each and can be purchased at https://www.universe.com/.../speak-no-more-vvitch-tickets...
La Fenice will donate half of all ticket sale proceeds to the Clarksville Community Development Corporation to help support the organization’s operation of the Haskell House as a museum that tells the story of Clarksville, an early Texas Freedom Colony. On the National Register of Historic Places, Clarksville was settled in 1871 by Charles Clark, a formerly enslaved man. The Haskell House sits on City of Austin dedicated parkland and is a Parks and Recreation Department historic resource. The CCDC maintains the House and operates it as a museum under an agreement with the Department.
