Check Out This Wonderful Photo!

On Saturday, November 16th, “Haskell House and the Story of Clarksville,” premiered at the Boyd Vance Theater at the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural, and Genealogy Center. The short film was commissioned by the City of Austin’s Parks and Recreation Department and was made possible through the City’s Historic Preservation Fund.

Many descendants of Hezikiah Haskell, an early resident of the House and Charles Clark, founder of Clarksville, as well as descendants of Haskell’s wife Catherine, attended the premier. They proudly gathered on stage at the Carver Center for this historic photo.
